लेखक कमलाकांत त्रिपाठी के ' कश्मीर की कहानी: आतंकवाद की प्रयोगशाला का जन्म और विकास ' वर्तमान के परिपेक्ष्य में बहुत रिलेवेंट है । इस लेख सीरीज में लेखक ने जम्मू कश्मीर के इतिहास, भूगोल, राजनीति, समाज, अर्थतंत्र, धर्म, मनोविज्ञान आदि का जो दार्शनिक प्रस्तुतीकरण किया है वह अप्रतिम है। प्रत्येक सर्ग में लेखक की पक्षपातविहीन टिप्पणी सन्दर्भ के विभिन्न पहलुओं की ओर इंगित करती है। जम्मू-कश्मीर के विलय तथा अन्य घटनाक्रम में त्रिपाठी जी ने  नेहरू, जिन्ना, गाँधी, राजा हरी सिंह, शेख अब्दुल्ला आदि तत्कालीन प्रसिध्द नेताओं के रोल की उल्लेखनीय गहराई से विवेचना की है। साथ ही साथ इस लेख में अनेक ऐसे अन्य महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्तियों का वर्णन आया है जिनका अन्य सम्बंधित सन्दर्भों में बहुत कम उल्लेख आया है । लेख के अंत के कुछ सर्गों में लेखक के दार्शनिक पक्ष का विशेष दर्शन प्राप्त होता है। उन्होंने बड़े नेताओं की हिपोक्रेसी और स्ट्रेटेजिक फेलियर का उल्लेख बड़ी साफगोई से किया है। इसके अतिरिक्त इस लेख में अमेरिका और रूस की रस्साकसी, पाकिस्तान की राजनीति और धर्म के अन्तर्सम्बन्ध के ट्रेंड और विकास, अनेक आत
