उत्कृष्ट ध्येय भारत का हित

Shri Mahalanobis's land Bengal

was chosen for the institute

This is the holy land of Ramakrishna (Paramhansa)

the one who relieved the anguish by spirituality

(The land where) Raja (Raja Ram Mohan Roy) and Vidyasagar (Ishwarchand Vidyasagar)

filled the sense of consciousness 

belong to this earth-

Great Acharya (J C Bose) and Kaviguru (Rabindranath Tagore)

Including Delhi (and) Bangalore Center

Extended to Chennai (and) Tezpur

(one who acts with the motto of) unity in diversity

(one who is engaged in) creative brainstorms for innovation

(who is dedicated to ) betterment of India
